I’ve been considering going back to an in person office environment and had some early thoughts on how I will enable a smooth transition back for myself and colleagues I work closely with.

I will retain the early end to meetings that I create, reinforced by clear agendas for those meetings.

I will chat those that sit near me before disturbing their work with questions. I imagine this separation has been a relief in general. (I know it has it has for me.)

On the flip side, I will invite people to lunches or to stop by my desk as much as appropriate, to ease back into live communication.

I will brush up on my in person presentation and facilitation skills before launching into those meetings so I’m 100% prepared.

I will also, probably most importantly, give people a lot of space and time to acclimate, keeping an open mind and ear to those who aren’t adjusting quickly..maybe this will even be me?

We’ve all been through ..too much and I want to be of service to my own needs as well as the needs of those I create awesome stuff with on a daily basis. We can do this!
