When I work on any specific project for an extended length of time I begin to bath in it. When that happens my eye and mind need a little play time, a little conceptual contrast to stay balanced.
These days I get that balance by taking simple pics with my iPhone, and sometimes even pulling out my more robust Nikon. If I deal all day with flat colors and typography -photography and abstract art loaded with texture help keep me creatively balanced and re-energize my process.
