I’ve become a serious Twitter user, meaning I have started tweeting industry related info with the purpose of sharing knowledge. I showed a friend my TweetDeck and her comment was “..whoa-that looks like the control board to the universe..” Exactly-because that’s what Twitter is, my universe of interests shared with others who have similar interests. A bonus is that sometimes, these “industry friends” that share my professional interests give their followers a look into their personal life and the strange thoughts that might pop into their head. I can appreciate this, it’s like a breathe of fresh air amidst the usual blahbabbly “Click here for the newest smarty news.”
