Geometric or compositional tension is rare in nature. I think that’s why it bothers me so much in design and composition studies. 
Why is that hammer in the photo touching the edge of the blue table? The hammer’s handle comes right to the table’s worn silver edge. It was an accident that flattened the composition and honestly bugs me to no end!
